Professional Brazilian keratin smoothing and straightening treatment specifically developed for Afro and textured hair. The formaldehyde-free, vegan formula uses heat-activated KeraProtein technology to help loosen curls, reduce frizz and unwanted volume, and leave hair smoother, softer and more manageable. Suitable for a range of curl patterns, including 4A, 4B and 4C. Results can last up to 10–14 weeks with suitable aftercare.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Afro Brazilian Keratin Protein is a professional smoothing and straightening treatment developed specifically for textured hair. It helps reduce frizz and unwanted volume, making thick, curly and unruly hair easier to manage.

The formaldehyde-free, vegan formula features heat-activated KeraProtein technology. Combined with the heat-sealing process, the treatment helps smooth the hair's surface, improve manageability and enhance the appearance of softness and shine.

Suitable for a range of textured hair types, the treatment can be used to loosen curls and reduce volume or as part of a professional reconstruction and restructuring service. The final result will depend on the hair's condition, curl pattern, porosity and the desired level of smoothing.

With suitable aftercare, results can last up to 10–14 weeks, depending on hair type, condition, washing routine, lifestyle and maintenance.

HOW TO USE

STEP 1 – CLEANSE

Wash the hair thoroughly with shampoo 2–3 times to remove oil, product build-up and residue.

STEP 2 – PREPARE THE HAIR

After shampooing, rough-dry the hair until it is approximately 80–90% dry.

STEP 3 – APPLY THE TREATMENT

Divide the hair into four sections, beginning at the nape of the neck.

Working with small sections of approximately 0.5–1cm, apply the treatment evenly from root to ends, maintaining a gap of approximately 0.5cm between the product and the scalp. Do not apply directly to the scalp.

Continue until all sections are covered, combing through as required to distribute the product evenly.

Leave to develop for 20–30 minutes, according to the desired result and the condition and type of hair.

STEP 4 – RINSE

Rinse the hair thoroughly with water only.

For additional conditioning and shine, apply SOS Hair Mask after rinsing, then rinse thoroughly.

STEP 5 – BLOW-DRY

Apply a suitable Argan Oil. Renew Argan Oil is recommended.

Blow-dry the hair completely, then divide it into small sections of approximately 0.5cm, beginning at the nape of the neck.

STEP 6 – SEAL WITH HEAT

Using a straightening iron, seal the treatment by working through small sections from root to ends.

Pass the straightening iron over each section 7–8 times, continuing until the entire head has been completed.

AFTERCARE

Use a suitable keratin aftercare shampoo and conditioner to help maintain the smoothing effect and prolong the results.

The longevity of the treatment will depend on hair type, condition, washing frequency, lifestyle and aftercare.

• Professional use only.

• Do not apply directly to the scalp. Maintain an approximate 0.5cm gap.

• Colouring: We recommend carrying out the keratin treatment at least one week before colouring the hair, as the treatment may lift or alter existing hair colour.

• Assess the hair's condition and suitability before treatment, and follow the recommended application procedure and safety instructions.

• Results vary according to hair type, condition, porosity and aftercare.

• Avoid contact with clothing and other fabrics. The product may cause permanent staining or discolouration. Wear gloves and suitable protective clothing during application.
